On February 18, the city of Vilnius became the capital of wedding fashion. For the second time, Baltic Bridal Fashion Show of Lithuania took place in the modern luxurious club Vilnius Merchants, where designers from the Baltic region and other countries demonstrated their latest collections of wedding and evening dresses.

The show was full of surprises: talented Lithuanian designers Robert Kalinkin, Agne Deveikyte, Raimonda Sile, Aida Kapociute, Airida Skrickiene, Greek fashion studio Atelier Zolotas and Latvian couturier Dace Bachmann presented their unique collections of wedding dresses.
Models of the catwalk demonstrated the brightest tendencies in bridal dresses: colorful and pastel wedding dresses substituting traditional white; ethnographic motifs, short two-level dresses or dresses decorated with flowers, unique combination of knitwear and lush skirts, V-cuts, glittering fabrics, tuxedo-style dress with shorts and long skirt, jacket dress, etc.

Airida Skrick
One of the most memorable collections was presented by the designer Airida Skrick. It included extended women’s jackets, dresses and men’s suits. It was an interesting and bold vision. The shape of the cuts rings an echo from the 80s. There is also an interesting approach to sleeves and the classic trio in the color range of white, red and black.

Dace Bahmann
Six dresses were presented at the show. Part of the collection is represented by modern interpretation of the folk style, the other part – by flowing chiffon dresses, more of the gala or prom style.

Sile Raimonda
The “Swan” Collection presented this year is truly distinguished by the abundance of feather (swansdown) and wavelike skirts. Regardless of the fact that mostly heavy super-cady fabric is used, the models look harmoniously and lightly. The given theme is strictly followed.

Robert Kalinkin is a Lithuanian clothes and stage designer, who presented his wedding and evening collection of 10 models (11 dresses) at the Vilnius show. One of the dresses was decorated with a scatter of real diamonds, 49 carats total, and cost about 100 thousand euro. Emphasized are wide variations of the sleeve, sequined close-fitting dresses of thin soft net, large-fitting airy models of pressed fabric… Complex structures and sophisticated asymmetry is the imprint of the designer who loves using bright and recognizable details.

Rasos & Christian Mados Studia
Participant of BBFS2017. The show was opened by the model in national colors, which constituted modern interpretation of a national dress. It was created for the 100th anniversary of Lithuania which happened on February 16th of this year.

Atelier Zolotas
The distinguishing feature of Zolotas is the exclusive use of natural materials in production of dresses, from the backing to the smallest décor elements. Lace is woven on the atelier’s own weaving machines, and small elements of décor (grape grains, flowers) are hand-made. Although the line of models is already quite versatile, upon order the bride can compose her own unique dress, selecting the top from one model and the bottom from another, changing décor elements or order another fabric color! Presentation of the 2019 collection is planned for the Wedding Fashion Week in Barcelona. In the new collection we will see new ornaments and materials.

Aida Kapociute
Aida Kapociute takes part in the Vilnius show for the second time, considering it a good chance to show herself and see others and the new trends. This is a stylish collection with a taste and moderate views.

MUGAKO Fashion Studio
Daria presented a collection exclusively for children, pleasantly surprising the audience with some of the models. There was something resembling Zuhair Murad, only in the diminished version.

Inga Miltieniene
The presented collection included 20 dresses. Wide sleeves, a lot of gimp, the play of shades and designer’s incredible view on the wedding dress. Participant of BBFS 2017.
